Biography

Koichi Ohtomi is currently Chief Specialist of Corporate R&D Center, Toshiba Corporation, an Immediate past chairman of JSCES, and a Fellow of JSME.

CAE in Japan - Now and Then

This presentation will introduce a Japanese society activity such as the certification program for computational mechanical engineers in JSME and V&V committee activity in JSCES. The talk will also discuss the background and the current status of 1DCAE that is becoming popular mainly in Japanese industries.
