Modeling the interactions of components and sub-system in a hydraulic circuit enables the designer to correctly size the system and identify potential stability issues.
To take this design closer to the real life system performance you may also need to look at the influence temperature on the viscosity of the system fluids.
This then lets you investigate "what will be the effect of a cold start on performance" and "how long will it take to reach operating temperature" and even "will my fluid over heat".
