Software Reliability 2013 Seminar
Software reliability is rarely of concern to most until something goes wrong.
Unlike physical system components, software does not
deteriorate over time, but unlike the human operator which it often replaces, software does not adapt well to situations which were not anticipated by its designers, and such glitches can prove enormously costly.
However, a properly managed and structured approach can allow the reliability of associated software to be addressed and managed within acceptable levels of assurance.
This event explores the latest developments in software
technology, international standards for software and safety assurance, and applications from airlines to cyber-physical risk.
