Vanderplaats R&D announces the release of GENESIS and Design Studio for Design Pre/Post-processing (Version 12.2)

GENESIS Enhancements:

* Tied / Glued Connections
* Faster sensitivities calculations
* Faster composite optimization
* Faster pre-processing of Domain and Freeform shape variables
* Faster SMS modal and sparse matrix solving for very large models

Design Studio Enhancements:

* Single window environment option
* Definition of menus on left hand side
* Improved entity selection using feature angle, dynamic drag, visible entities
* Support of all new GENESIS features

GENESIS is a stand alone FEA and Structural Optimization program that can also be coupled with LS-Dyna to perform structural optimization for nonlinear responses. The following link demonstrates this capability for frontal crash optimization. LS-Dyna is a product of LSTC.
