NAFEMS DACH Update
The most recent seminar in Germany covered the topic
“Numerical Simulation of Electromechanical Systems –
Applications and Trends“. It was held on the 26th and 27th
October 2005 in Wiesbaden, Germany, and attracted more than 40
delegates. 15 presentations from industry, research and academia,
as well as software vendors were given. Chairman of the seminar was
Udo Killat representing Dr. Günter Müller (both Cadfem)
who is a member of the German NAFEMS Steering Committee. The
seminar was sponsored by Hewlett-Packard.
In addition to the seminar in November there were two training
courses in autumn 2005: “Basic 1 – Structural Mechanics
/ Mechanics of Materials / Stress Analysis”, 17–18
October 2005, and “Basic 2 – Fundamentals of Finite
Element Analysis”, 21–22 November 2005. Both courses
were held in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The NAFEMS CFD-Seminar “Simulation of Coupled Flow Phenomena
(Multifield FSI) – Applications and Trends” will be
held 8–9 May, 2006 in Wiesbaden, Germany. A seminar on
“Virtual Testing” will be held 10–11 May 2006
also in Wiesbaden, Germany. Training Courses for spring 2006 are
planned for 29- 30 March and 27–28 April in Wiesbaden,
Germany.
In addition we are pleased to offer additional training courses in
Switzerland in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences
