NAFEMS Nordic Steering Committee announces first NAFEMS seminar

The first meeting of the newly founded NAFEMS Nordic Steering Committee was held on April 14, 2005 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The group consists of people from the engineering analysis community, comprising a mixture of representatives from industry, research, university, major software vendors and hardware vendors from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The function of this group is to direct and control the strategy for delivering activities of NAFEMS within the Nordic Countries.

As a result of this first meeting the NAFEMS Nordic Steering Committee now announces the first NAFEMS seminar (conference) in this region. The seminar topic will be “Component and System Analysis Using Numerical Simulation Techniques – FEA, CFD, MBS” and will be held 23rd – 24th November in Gothenburg, Sweden. Contributions from industry, research and university are welcome. The seminar will be accompanied by a hardware and software exhibition. A “Call for Papers” can be downloaded from the website www.nafems.org/nordic.
