NAFEMS' Computational Fluid Dynamics Working Group (CFDWG), wishes to commission a new document with the suggested title "Geometry and Mesh for CFD".
The document will form part of the “How to …?” series of books. The book will focus on the definition of geometry and the generation of meshes for computational fluid dynamics. The content should concentrate on the use of RANS models of turbulent flow, but with some attention given also to the differing requirements for laminar and non-Newtonian flow, and the emerging techniques of LES and DES.
The document should be applicable to a range of analysts who perform computer based simulations of fluid flow, and should aim to give them an understanding of the “whys” as well as describing the “hows” of geometry and mesh. In addition, the document should be relevant to CAD users building design geometry that may also be employed for CFD.
Full details of the tender, as well as an expanded description and submission guidelines, can be found in the "tenders" section of the NAFEMS website.
