As you can imagine, the NAFEMS website receives numerous press
releases and news articles every day. In order to provide the most
relevant and interesting news to users of the NAFEMS website, a set
of guidelines have been introduced to ensure that all those
who submit releases to the NAFEMS site are fully aware of what will
and will not be published.

Industry News
The industry news section of the NAFEMS website aims to provide
visitors with relevant, timely and informative pieces. Our main
audience is the practicing analyst, designer, engineer and
management involved in engineering simulation and analysis.
Several main types of news release are considered relevant for this
audience, considering the reasons behind their visit to the NAFEMS
website. Several popular types of news item are also deemed to be
of limited interest to this audience, and will not be published.
Relevant types of release which are likely to be published
- New software packages
- New versions of software
- New features of existing software
- Major company acquisitions and mergers
- Major staff appointments
- Major legislation changes
Irrelevant types of release which will be rejected
- Case Studies
- Purchases of software licenses
- Minor staff appointments
- Software comparisons
In all cases, backdated press releases and out of date information
will not be published. NAFEMS reserves the right to edit any
release submitted before publication.
All articles on the website are published solely at NAFEMS'
discretion and submission of material in no way guarantees
publication.
No notification will be given and no dialogue will be
entered into regarding items which have been rejected.
PLEASE DO NOT USE "ALL CAPITALS" IN YOUR HEADLINE! NEWS ARTICLES WITH ALL CAPS WILL BE REJECTED IN ALL CASES.
PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE A URL AT THE END OF YOUR RELEASE.
Industry Events
The industry events section of the NAFEMS website is intended
solely as a listing of relevant industry events occuring worldwide.
These include, but are not limited to;
- Seminars
- Courses
- Conferences
- User Group Meetings
- Trade Shows
All events submitted must have the following detail to be
considered for inclusion;
- Title
- Confirmed Location
- Confirmed dates and times
- URL for further information
- Some detail of the event, preferably with an agenda
- Details of the organising company/institution
Any event submitted without these details will not be published.
Specifically, certain types of event are excluded, namely
- "Free" sales seminars
- Events not relevant to engineering analysis and simulation
In all cases, backdated events and out of date information
will not be published. NAFEMS reserves the right to edit
