AUTOSIM is a Coordination Action project which will receive funding from the EC over three years from September 1st 2005. Coordinated by NAFEMS, the project consortium contains 32 companies from across Europe each of whom has a significant interest in the use of simulation within the automotive industry. They include OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, consultants, researchers and software developers.

The project is the first of what will hopefully be a number of successors to the FENet project, focusing on the specific area of one industry sector: the automotive sector.

A strong starting point for the project will be the findings of the Land Transport industry sector in FENet. These findings can be downloaded here .

A summary of the project objectives can be found here.

The project will also produce regular bulletins, which are available to download here.
