 Dr. Bijan Khatib-Shahidi

Dr. Shahidi holds a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Mechanics from
Michigan State University, and B.S.E. / M.S.E. in Aerospace
engineering from the University of Michigan as well as an Executive
MBA from MSU.
He has been with Ford for 16 years and has held variety of
positions in the areas of Analytical and numerical modeling and
analysis. He has had an extensive experience in the
areas of Crash and safety analysis, Noise and vibrations,
Durability and CFD analysis as well as Numerical and experimental
Wind tunnel responsibility in Aerodynamics.
Dr. Shahidi's current staff is responsible for the Support of the
Vehicle engineering organization. They provide CAE /CFD Analysis
and Modeling of Vehicles, Systems and component simulations.
They provide the Analytical / Virtual design to support the
development and confirmation all cars and trucks within Ford.
The personnel is mixed of over 85% of highly skilled Ph.D.
Supervisors and Technical specialists who direct report to
Dr. Shahidi and over 55% Ph.D. engineers from all over the
continent reporting to his staff.
Prior to Joining ford, Dr. Shahidi owned and operated an
Engineering Consultancy Firm (ECAS) with over 50 engineers. The
Company specialized in Safety consulting and training various OEMs
in the U.S.A.
