Continuum Blue has assisted numerous companies with the design and development of new products and devices using FEA, CFD and other computational techniques. Complimentary to these services, Continuum Blue has extensive experience in materials testing, optimization and selection for a wide range of products with considerable expertise in medical implants.

With access to an extensive materials database and knowledge on specialty ceramics, metal alloys and elastomer materials and soft tissue modelling, we have modelled implantable devices such as spinal discs, artificial hips, heart valves, grafts (artificial arteries), and stents under physiological conditions and assessed fluid-solid interactions and blood flow paths.

In addition to this Continuum Blue has a fully equipped R&D laboratory utilizing state of the art test equipment, access to electron microscopes (SEM &TEM) for testing and assessment of products and materials.
