ESAComp is software for analysis and design of composites. Its scope ranges from conceptual and preliminary design of layered composite structures to analyses of details and post processing of FE results.
Two-way interfaces with FE packages like ABAQUS, ANSYS and MSC Nastran/Patran make the data transfer smooth. Laminate lay-ups designed with ESAComp can be easily exported to FE software along with the related material properties. In FE post processing, ESAComp predicts failure of fiber reinforced composites with advanced failure criteria, gives detailed information on critical layers and failure modes, and takes into account specific failure modes of sandwich structures.
ESAComp has been developed with the support of the European Space Agency (ESA). The goal was to create a standard composite analysis tool for the aerospace industry. Nowadays the customer base covers all industries using high-performance composites.
