The CFD working group carries out the following main activities
The working group has produced a number of useful documents and publications to assist CFD users and their managers in the efficient use of CFD technology. The publications are focussed on the practical process of applying CFD, as well as on the technology behind the software and related engineering science. more
Participants at the seminars have a wide range of backgrounds from practical design engineers to CFD specialists and code developers. This mixture makes the seminars very successful with both audience and presenters learning many new ideas. Open discussion periods are included and, where possible, these are chaired by industrial experts. Accredtied courses are available for those who wish to learn more about CFD in a structured training environment. more
The Journal publishes CFD case study papers, i.e. investigations, simulations and validation exercises in accordance with CFD best practice guidelines. Original papers, book reviews and letters to the Editor are acceptable. The purpose of the Journal is to disseminate information to the wider NAFEMS community interested in the application of CFD for industrial design. The papers are peer reviewed by the editorial board.more
