New NAFEMS Website Launched

NAFEMS has relaunched its main online portal, .

Building on the previous version of the popular engineering analysis website, new functionality such as the ability to purchase products in Euro and US Dollars, secure access to selected PDF documents for members, and a new “survey” system have been introduced, as well as redesigning the site in order to make it simpler to use.

In the coming months, additional functionality such as video downloads, discussion groups, and online membership management will be introduced, in order to ensure that the NAFEMS website continues to be the number one independent portal for engineering analysis and simulation on the web.

"This is a further step in ensuring NAFEMS meets the ever expanding needs of the international engineering analysis community" , commented David Quinn, Head of Marketing and Communications at NAFEMS. "The NAFEMS Website already welcomes over half a million visitors each year, and this re-designed version of the site builds on the wide selection of content already available, to make information more accessible to everyone who visits. It is our intention to continue to keep-pace with the development of online technology, to enable us to provide a consistantly excellent service to both members and non-members of NAFEMS."

The development of the website is part of on ongoing strategy which aims to deliver content to the analysis community in the most convenient and accessible way possible.

"The past year has seen NAFEMS fully embrace the technological opportunities available in this web-enabled age, with the introduction and development of webinars, electronic access to documents, web-based committee meetings and, of course, the continued development of the highly-popular NAFEMS website."  added Dr Costas Stavrinidis, NAFEMS Chairman. "As well as providing access to NAFEMS materials, events and information, these technological innovations also enable the timely provision of relevant input to the analysis community in a highly efficient manner."
