Matthew joined NAFEMS in 2006 as the North American Representative, responsible for the planning and delivery of all NAFEMS activities in North America, as well as select global activities. During his time with NAFEMS, Matthew co-founded the Stochastics Working Group, the Simulation Data Management Working Group, the Systems Modeling & Simulation Working Group, and developed the NAFEMS International Collaborative Community (NICC) to support the integration of various NAFEMS working groups and steering committees in a web-based environment. He established the NAFEMS Global Webinar Series in 2007, and the NAFEMS e-Learning program in 2009.
In 2010, Matthew joined SIMULIA, the Dassault Systèmes brand for realistic simulation, and was responsible for all product marketing related to Abaqus, Isight, the SIMULIA Execution Engine (formerly Fiper), and all partner co-marketing activities. He later transitioned into a strategic planning role, which involved key initiatives (e.g., The Living Heart Project) and growth activities in the SIMULIA brand.
In 2014, Matthew rejoined NAFEMS as VP, responsible for the organization's operations and activities in the Americas, which was later expanded to include all but two of the organization's regions, globally.
In 2021, Matthew joined AGI and is now currently responsible for developing the FA&D campaign strategy for Ansys.
Matthew received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina (WIL), and his master's degree from the University of North Carolina (CLT).
