Sr. Engineer, Manufacturing Process Technologies

Pat Prescott works at the Owens Corning Science & Technology Center in Granville, OH, where he is a Sr. Engineer in the Manufacturing Process Technologies group within the corporate Advanced Manufacturing department. He coordinates modeling projects in the Glass & Melting Technologies area and is responsible for managing the simulation data generated by the group. Pat holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. Since joining Owens Corning in 1996, he has worked on several teams related to manufacturing technology, including fiber forming technology development, reducing capital investment requirements, improving process efficiency, and simulation of transport phenomena in manufacturing processes. Prior to joining Owens Corning, Pat served on the faculty for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University, and he began his professional career at Garrett Turbine Engine Company in Phoenix, AZ in the area of Mechanical Component Design.
