9th European Solid Mechanics Conference
The first European Solid Mechanics Conference (ESMC) was held in Munich in 1991. This very successful conference initiated a tri-annual series with subsequent conferences held in Genova, Stockholm, Metz, Thessaloniki, Budapest, Lisbon and Graz. The 9th European Solid Mechanics Conference, organized by IMDEA Materials Institute, will be held at the Higher Polytechnic School of the Carlos III University in Leganés, Madrid, under the auspices of EUROMECH, during July 6-10, 2015.
The European Solid Mechanics Conference is the major event for the solids mechanics community in Europe and provides a unique forum for scientists and engineers to exchange ideas on the current state-of-the-art in the mechanics of solids, on new concepts and ideas and to identify new research directions.
You are invited to participate in this conference and to contribute to any topic of your scientific interest.
The General (contributed) Sessions for this conference have been organized into eight main areas:
• Continuum Mechanics
• Material Mechanics
• Computational Mechanics
• Multifield Problems
• Structural Mechanics
• Experimental Mechanics
In addition, around 50 Mini-Symposia will be organized in a range of specialized topics.
