Benchmark Test For Thermal Analysis (Summary Report)
Due to the evolving nature of the engineering analysis and simulation market this publication no longer represents current best practice and has been archived. The document may be of historical interest and is therefore still available for purchase
The publication contains an error in benchmark 13i
This report contains details of in benchmark tests for one and two-dimensional thermal problems using finite element analysis systems.
The intention of the benchmark tests is to provide a series of tests which are simple in nature, easy to model and cheap to run, while still providing a test of the capability of a finite element system.
This volume contains details of 14 benchmark tests for thermal analysis. Each test is presented with the required boundary conditions, recommended mesh sizes and target values at specific output points.
