Overview

Simulation software that addresses design, engineering, and manufacturing needs has its roots in Computer-aided Design (CAD) and Computer-aided Engineering (CAE) technology. The simulation software market for design, engineering, and manufacturing needs is evolving due to the convergence of CAD and CAE combined with additional software and hardware innovation.

Simulation technology has great potential to further compress product development cycles while improving product quality and enhancing the customer experience throughout the product’s useful life. However, manufacturers face the risk of buying into certain expectations that are set too high.

This webinar speculates on how such simulation software and its use is likely to evolve through the year 2020. The scenarios paint a vision of virtual models producing realistic experiences. The predictions factor lessons learned from CAE market since its beginnings in the 1970s. It highlights anticipated opportunities and risks to adopting and benefiting from software innovations being introduced to the market today that will continue to evolve. Manufacturers can use this webinar to learn more about the emerging simulation opportunities and better understand the challenges and best practices to adopt them. Ideally, these insights will help manufacturers stage their investments in simulation technologies and manage the risks through 2020.
