Main Glossary of Subject Headings

This chapter outlines the main subject headings covered by the NAFEMS publications. The headings are either well defined technical subjects or non-technical work areas in which valuable publications have been issued. They are more general than the definitions that form the detailed Glossary of Chapter 3. These headings also correspond to the items given in the Table of Publications, Chapter 7. For each entry, the publication(s) in which they are described are given in italics, subdivided as Texts, Benchmarks, Case Studies/Workbooks and Seminars as appropriate. Owing to the general nature and large volume of content in the Conference Proceedings, these are not included in these listings.

The definitions below are brief and for a more complete definition the reader should consult the references given.
