University Collaboration: AVL Supports Dynamics UPC Manresa

University Collaboration: AVL Supports Dynamics UPC Manresa

On June 17th, Dynamics UPC Manresa officially presented the DYN-09, the team’s first fully electric Formula Student car, marking a historic milestone in their journey. The presentation took place at the iconic Teatre Conservatori de Manresa, gathering sponsors, collaborators, former students, and members of the academic and automotive communities to celebrate this achievement.

The DYN-09 represents a major step forward for the team, following a season filled with technical challenges, learning, and dedication. The new prototype features a fully electric powertrain, developed with a strong focus on sustainability, performance, and innovation.

AVL is proud to support this initiative through the AVL University Partnership Program (UPP), which provides academic institutions with access to AVL’s state-of-the-art simulation, virtualization, and data analysis tools. These technologies have played a key role in the design and validation of the DYN-09, enabling students to apply industry-grade methodologies in a real-world engineering context.

The AVL UPP is designed to foster excellence in education and research by offering universities and technical institutions access to the advanced tools used by professionals in the automotive industry. Through this program, students and young researchers can perform high-level analysis and optimization of electric powertrains, vehicle dynamics, and energy management systems—preparing them for the challenges of future mobility.

During the event, the team also reflected on the achievements of the previous season and outlined their goals for the upcoming competitions. The presentation highlighted the technical innovations of the DYN-09 and the collaborative effort behind its development.

AVL congratulates the entire Dynamics UPC Manresa team for their outstanding work and is proud to contribute to the development of young engineering talent committed to shaping the future of sustainable mobility.
