• Update of SMSWG activities - Peter Coleman, Chair SMSWG
• Main Presentation -"SMS Standards and Release of SysML v2.0"- Hans Peter de Koning, DEKonsult

Standards play a crucial role in realizing efficient and effective engineering modelling and simulation workflows. Integration across engineering disciplines and interoperability between modelling and simulation tools depend on it. This presentation will address two topics:

1. The current status and outlook of the Standards Focus Team of the SMS WG
2. Highlights of the official release of SysML version 2.0 that has been formally adopted by The Object Management Group OMG this month, June 2025

The latter includes practical examples relevant to SMS and an overview of the (more than 20) tools (commercial and open source) that are currently available or under way.

We’ll conclude the presentation with a Q&A.
