The COGAN project has taken the geotechnical world by storm.Over 800 students have enrolled on the COGAN E-Learning Course and over 100 senior engineers and training providers have registered on the COGAN Competency Tracker to browse the competency statements and new tracker software.It was always thought that a need existed in the geotechnical sector for better training and competency in numerical analysis and this was confirmed by the results of the COGAN Industry Needs Survey in December 2013, but the rapid uptake of deliverables, still in their evaluation phase, has still surprised the project partners.
