Technical Communities

NAFEMS Technical Working Groups are at the very heart of what we do. A number of the groups are now engaging with the wider NAFEMS membership by creating unique Technical Communities that all members can be part of.

Every NAFEMS member with a desire to learn more and interact with other users of a particular simulation technology can be a part of these communities. No specific expertise or experience is necessary.

By joining a Technical Community, members can interact with the associated Working Group as well as with other members who have similar technology interests. The communities are vibrant open forums, and activities will include:

  • Participation in Working Group Challenge Problems
  • Holding open Working Group meetings to give the community an insight into NAFEMS activities in each area
  • Community webinar series’ on particular themes
  • Townhall meetings, allowing community members to have their questions discussed and answered by the Working Group.
  • Online discussion forums to allow community members to engage with the Working Group directly
  • Regular email updates from the NAFEMS technical team on upcoming Community activities

As a part of a Technical Community, you can engage as much, or as little, as you like, at any time, and you can be part of as many communities as you want.
