incorporating
In light of current guidance on international travel, and the anticipated situation in the early part of 2021, we have taken the decision to move the Congress to 25-29 October 2021. This will hopefully allow more in-person participation. If you have any queries, please contact us on nwc21@nafems.org
NAFEMS World Congress 2021 will be a hybrid event and the first of its kind in the simulation community.
Based around the Congress Hub in Salzburg, Austria, one of the most technologically advanced conference centres in Europe, live presentations and workshops will blend with online delivery for both presenters and attendees.
We combine the face-2-face event with virtual online components.
This includes e.g. live video streaming (in/out) of keynotes and sessions, online prerecorded presentations, online communication and discussion facilities, live blogs, video live channels, and the integration of social media tools. Interaction and networking will be possible through video, audio and chat.
If a presenter cannot present on site due to travel restrictions, we will find ways and possibilities that she/he can present anyway due to the hybrid approach. The exhibition will be on-site in Salzburg and online around the world – we have several ideas how to make exhibition popular and interactive.
The Congress will cover every aspect of engineering modelling, analysis and simulation. That includes core topics like FEA, CFD, and MBD, as well as examining the next steps for our community and the technology. We will also be hosting the 5th International SPDM conference, as well as our Multiphysics Simulation conference as part of the event.
We’ll be outlining and pushing forward our Analysis Agenda, engaging with everyone involved in the technology, and looking at where we’re going and how to get there. We’ll be asking questions, and looking for answers on your behalf.
The Congress will be genuinely accessible to every single member of the analysis and simulation community.
