Process Set of interrelated or interacting activities which transforms inputs into outputs. ISO 9000
Process Model Model that defines the functional decomposition and the flow of inputs and outputs for a system. Modeling & Simulation Coordination Office

Processor in the Loop (PIL)

A simulation approach that allows designers to evaluate production code running on a dedicated processor in conjunction with a simulated plant.

Project An endeavor with start and finish criteria undertaken to create a product or service in accordance with specified resources and requirements. ISO/IEC 2008
Project Infrastructure Needs Infrastructure needs, including commitments to external stakeholders, derived from and requiring coordination with the organization. INCOSE
Requirement A statement that identifies a system, product or process characteristic or constraint, which is unambiguous, clear, unique, consistent, stand?alone (not grouped), and verifiable, and is deemed necessary for stakeholder acceptability. INCOSE
Requirements Engineering Subset of systems engineering concerned with discovering, developing, analyzing, validating, communicating and managing requirements. ISO/IEC 2010
Risk Management An organized means of identifying and measuring risk (risk assessment) and developing, selecting, and managing options (risk analysis) for resolving (risk handling) these risks. ISO/IEC/IEEE 2010
