A State of the Art workshop was jointly organised by EPSRC and KTN and was held in Birmingham on 25 June 2015. Plenary presentations and many group discussions were held discussing the academic State of the Art.
The SimBest project results were presented at the Museum for Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester on 25 February 2016 to 130 attendees from academia and industry:
Based on this information Nadir Ince of GE/AlstomPower presented the Gap analysis between the Best Practice and State of the Art. During the event there were two breakout sessions: during the morning four sector-oriented groups discussed the issues presented with respect the respective sectors and during the afternoon technology-oriented groups discussed the issues with respect to the relevant technical areas.
The event was closed by a plenary discussion monitored by Lynne McGregor who then presented some final community ideas.
