Information Standards for Long Term Archiving and Retrieval

Information Standards for Long Term Archiving and Retrieval (LOTAR)

29 September 2026 | Online

The NAFEMS-INCOSE Systems Modeling & Simulation (SMS) Community invites you to its next community meeting, focusing on Information Standards for Long Term Archiving and Retrieval (LOTAR) and their importance for systems modelling and simulation.

Coinciding with the 2026 Q3 LOTAR workshop in Frankfurt, the session will provide an up-to-date overview of the current status of LOTAR information standards, with particular emphasis on the long-term archiving and retrieval of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) information.

The presentation will explore why these standards matter to the systems modelling and simulation community, including the challenges associated with maintaining accessible, interpretable and reusable engineering information throughout extended product and system lifecycles.

Speaker

Kyle Hall, Airbus Operations Ltd, UK

Kyle Hall is Co-Chair of the INCOSE Tools Integration and Model Lifecycle Management (TIMLM) Working Group and Europe Lead for the LOTAR International MBSE Workgroup.
