Jack Castro is an Associate Technical Fellow within Boeing Commercial Airplane’s FEA Technical Excellence Center in Everett, Washington, USA. In this capacity, he is Chairman of the 777X FEA Oversight Board, co-leads Boeing’s Enterprise FEA Community of Excellence and also provides aircraft program consulting on finite element analysis methods, analysis planning, model development, verification and validation for the stress and loads organizations. Jack is also a leader in the development and deployment of FEA best practices, training and mentoring materials with a focused approach on “fit for purpose” FEA.
September 1987 – July 2012
From 1987 – 1991, Jack worked as a Nastran QA engineer. From 1991 – 2012 Jack worked in a variety of aerospace customer facing technical roles ranging from Nastran Technical Representative to Global Technical Program Manager. During this time, he provided on-site consulting and leadership in the usage, collaborative development and deployment of MSC Nastran based solutions in the domains of stress analysis, dynamics, substructuring, internal/external/aeroelastic loads and structural optimization.
