Our previous conference in Prague

The previous biennial Regional Conference for Central-Eastern Europe has taken place in Prague, on the 19th and 20th of October 2022. Panorama Hotel Prague has proven to be a good choice as the venue with its ideally aligned conference rooms and plentiful refreshment break offering. With a total of 60 attendees the conference had a lively atmosphere from start to finish. The programme has included three keynote lectures, presentations from three invited speakers, fifteen presenters and two afternoon seminars.

The keynote lectures have focused attention during the forenoons;

• Fatigue Design of Additive Layer Manufacturing Materials (Prof. Yves Nadot, ISAE-ENSMA),
• 5G Applications in the Context of Human Exposure (Prof. Irina Munteanu, Dassault Systèmes),
• Cloud-based Simulations in Rimac Technology (Dr. Ivan Krajinović, Rimac Technology).

We were happy about receiving positive feedback related to both the Digital Twin (from Jiří Teichman and Petr Pečený, TechSoft) and Introductory CFD (from Dr. József Nagy, eulerian-solutions e.U.) seminars. The seminars have offered an alternative afternoon activity to the main session in the plenary room.

After the last presentation of the first day, we have headed to the city center to recuperate. This has helped us to dive even deeper in the theoretical and practical problems of engineering simulation on the second day.
