NAFEMS is proud to be a Professional Affiliate of the Engineering Council.

The NAFEMS PSE Certification program is regularly audited by the Engineering Council. As a Professional Affiliate we work closely with the Engineering Council when revising our processes and documentation.

Governance

The PSE Board is responsible for overseeing implementation and ensuring that the NAFEMS Professional Simulation Engineer Scheme compiles with the PSE Regulations. The current members of the PSE Board are:

  • Adib Becker  - Chairman of the Education and Training Working Group – University of Nottingham
  • Rod Dreisbach – Chairman of the NAFEMS Americas Steering Committee, NAFEMS Council Member
  • David Ellis – NAFEMS Council Member – D J Goode & Associates Ltd
  • Nawal Prinja – PSE Coordinator – AMEC Foster Wheeler
  • Anup Puri - NAFEMS Council Member
  • Jim Wood – NAFEMS Council Member
  • Tim Morris - NAFEMS CEO

The Technical areas and the competencies within PSE framework are constantly evolving. The PSE Technical Areas are maintained by NAFEMS and the NAFEMS Technical Working Groups

Acknowledgements

The PSE Competency Tracker and PSE Certification Scheme were developed as part of the EASIT2 project funded by the European Union and partners under the Leonardo Programme (project number 2010-1-GB2-LEO05-03450).
This project was led by the University of Strathclyde and evolved from the previous CCOPPS project.

Enginsoft were responsible for the initial implementation of the PSE Competency Tracker. NAFEMS would like to thank Filippo Furlan and Giovanni Borzi for their work developing and supporting the initial version of the PSE Competency Tracker. Enginsoft continue to develop online competency management toolsets that can be adapted to the the needs of a specific company.
