Laura Michalske has been the Procter & Gamble Section Head for Health Care Modeling & Simulation since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Laura has 30 years of experience in the consumer goods industry working in engineering and manufacturing. Laura has developed engineering solutions for Tide, Metamucil, Crest, Scope, and Iams brands. Procter & Gamble Modeling & Simulation covers the full range of approaches from molecular modeling, FEA, CFD, stochastic, and supply chain modeling. Laura’s mastery in reliability engineering and supply chain modeling have been profitability applied across her career at P&G. Her passion is to virtualize the development of product and equipment to enable speed to market.

Laura is a recipient of Procter & Gamble’s PRISM award given to engineering masters who have made a real difference in Procter & Gamble through their sustained and exceptional technical contributions.

Prior to working for Procter & Gamble, Laura worked for Belcan, LLC for 5 years as a Process Engineer working on projects for such companies as Procter & Gamble Co., General Electric, Ralston Purina, and duPont.

She is the chair for the NAFEMS Simulation Data Management Working Group and is a member of the NAFEMS Americas Steering Committee. Laura also represents Procter & Gamble on the ASSESS Initiative Advisory Committee.

Laura is involved in inspiring students to pursue STEM degrees through her involvement as an engineering mentor with Batavia Middle School’s Future City team for the past 13 years. The Batavia Middle School team has three times represented the Ohio Region at Nationals in Washington DC.
