PSE Certification

Referees & Capabilities

It is the applicant’s responsibility to secure the consent of at least one referee before their application is submitted. When completing their application form, candidates are required to indicate which referee should be contacted in relation to each technical area where the candidate is seeking certification. The referees will then be contacted by NAFEMS to attest that the candidate has the capabilities described in table 1.

Referees must be of high professional standing. For example, in Europe the professional qualification Eur. Ing., in the USA Professional Engineer / P.E. and in the UK Chartered Engineer / C.Eng, or their equivalent would be appropriate.

Referees do not need to be simulation experts but must be familiar with the candidate's work that involved analysis and simulation.

The referees you have included will be sent a copy of your application via email, with your personal details removed (aside from your name).

For each referee, the following is required:-

  • Full name of the referee.
  • The relationship between the applicant and the referee.
  • Full postal address of referee, including contact telephone number and email address.
