Dynamics Working Group
The NAFEMS Dynamics Working Group (DWG) brings together representatives from industry, academia and software vendors to form a common body of understanding in dynamics. The DWG provides guidance on the optimum method, including the use of numerical, physical and logical models of systems, that should be employed to solve a particular dynamic engineering problem.
The DWG is a forum for discussions on the state-of-the-art dynamics theory and aims to share lessons learnt from a range of industries and applications.
The DWG aims to:
- develop guidance and best practice material in the form of publications, seminars and training on how to apply engineering simulation techniques to solve dynamics problems;
- be a community and provide a forum for engineers and scientists involved in dynamics engineering analysis.
The Structure of the Dynamics Working Group
The Dynamics Working Group is led by a Steering Committee which coordinates the activities of three sub-groups: the Impact, Shock and Crash sub-group, the Multibody Dynamics sub-group and the Structural Dynamics sub-group. Details on the specific activities of each group can be found on the individual sub-group web pages.
If you would like to get in touch with the Dynamics Working Group Steering Committee please use the contact form below. If you would like to get in touch with one of the sub-groups associated with the Dynamics Working Group, please use the appropriate form on the sub-group web page.
