The Challenges of New Advanced Simulation Techniques

The Challenges of New Advanced Simulation Techniques

Thursday 16 November 2023 | Madrid, Spain | Seminar

Simulation is now right at the forefront of the product design process and the next generation of simulation is moving ahead. However, with this progress new challenges continually present themselves and should be addressed to enable modelling and simulation to remain an effective means of product and process design. This seminar invites presentations on related challenges, solutions, case studies, etc. to stimulate open discussion providing guidance and best practices for our future engineering innovation.

Related topics include:

  • collaborative conceptual modelling (multi-disciplinary, inter modelling, etc.),
  • computational challenges (ubiquitous computing, big data, Internet of Things, cloud computing, supercomputing, etc.),
  • digital twins (validation, optimization, data collection/generation/interaction, predictive systems, etc.),
  • uncertainty (tools and methods, management, risk, decision-making processes, etc.),
  • model reuse (tools, effectivity, robustness and reliability, management, etc.).

The event will include presentations on novel case studies, innovations, new practices, etc. and facilitate discussions with like-minded engineers to help build your network, advance your career by learning new skills, prepare for future developments in the industry, etc.

Call for Presentations

NAFEMS Iberia invites you to submit your presentation for consideration, in English or Spanish language. We welcome submissions from across the industry and from every area engaged in simulation within the topic.

Submission Requirements

At a first stage please submit your abstract, maximum 400 words, by 16 September 2023.

Abstracts should use the format provided, see template:

nafems-iberia_16nov2023_abstract_template.docx

Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified within 4 weeks and asked to prepare a PowerPoint presentation using the NAFEMS model provided. With the author’s permission (a form will be provided) the PowerPoint presentation will be made available for attendees and NAFEMS members in pdf format within the seminar webpage.
