The 15th of February 2016 saw the kick-off meeting of the NAFEMS Manufacturing Process Simulation Working Group (MANWG) in Manchester, UK. The meeting brought together 33 individuals from around the globe, with attendees being asked for their input into how the new working group should be run, who should be involved, and what the initial activities should be. The MANWG has been setup to operate as an international group and this initial meeting used video conferencing technology with a roughly 50-50 split between physical and virtual attendance.
